The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has received a mission assignment from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for planning and site assessments of alternate care facilities in California in response to the COVID19 virus. Engineers and contracting specialists from the Sacramento District were in Santa Clara on March 23, 2019, to look at a potential site with federal, state, and local partners.
