200303-N-HK234-5081 ATSUGI, Japan (March 3, 2020) Builder 2nd Class Dustin Hietala, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Atsugi, ensures the fence post is level during a concrete placement. U.S. Navy Seabees are constructing a loading dock for the Navy Exchange on board Naval Air Facility Atsugi. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
