200303-N-HK234-5078 ATSUGI, Japan (March 3, 2020) U.S. Navy Seabees deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Atsugi finish and install control joints to a concrete sidewalk. The Seabees are constructing a loading dock for the Navy Exchange on board Naval Air Facility Atsugi. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
