The 188th Fighter Wing, Fort Smith Air National Guard, hosted a week long Special Operations Exercise (SOFEX) with the 75th RR supported by an AC-130U Spooky gunship from Hurlburt Field, Fla. Nearing its second deployment to Afghanistan with the A-10, the 188th regularly conducts training with JTACs from different branches of service to sharpen its close air support mission.
