    Members of Navy Band Northeast’s (NBNE) Ceremonial Band stand at attention for the presentation of awards during a ceremony to honor Iwo Jima Day at the Massachusetts State House Feb. 19. Retired Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, former Joint Chiefs of Staff and Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots received the ‘Gung-Ho’ award from the Marine Corps League of Massachusetts. The event marked the 75th anniversary of the beginning of the battle of Iwo Jima during WWII. NBNE’s mission is to provide musical support for the U.S. Naval War College, the Department of the Navy and other military and government organizations throughout the Northeastern region of the U.S.
