    Mark Fiorey, deputy director of the John B. Hattendorf Center for Maritime Historical Research at the U.S. Naval War College (NWC), poses with the Vietnamese attendees of “The Naval War in Vietnam: Vietnamese and American Perspectives” conference at NWC Feb. 7. This two-day conference examined the naval side of the war from both American and Vietnamese perspectives, looking, in particular, at its causes, course and consequences. The John B. Hattendorf Center for Maritime Historical Research hosted the conference to demonstrate the value of this historical study in advancing the mission of NWC.
