200108-N-QR336-1602 NARRA, Palawan (Jan. 8, 2020) Utilitiesman 3rd Class Vincent Harum, from Brooklyn, New York, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Palawan, pours a bucket of concrete into the overhead beam for the new two-room schoolhouse at Malatgao Elementary School. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
