First-time deployed soldiers of the 432nd Civil Affairs Battalion were recognized during their Welcome Home Warrior-Citizen ceremony by receiving American flags in engraved wooden cases, pins and other commemorative items to recognize their combat deployment. The unit spent nine months in Afghanistan conducting Provincial Reconstruction Team missions and were recognized by members of Congress, community members, and families at the Kress Center in Green Bay, Wis., June 9, 2012 to honor the service and heroism of the soldiers who returned in March.
