    Sergeant Maj. Curtis Warren (left), the battalion sergeant major of 5th Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, and Lt. Col. Walker Field (right) the commanding officer of the battalion, salute the units cased colors as they are marched off by the unit’s color guard to be retired during the unit’s deactivation ceremony June 1. Field described the event as a bitter-sweet experience, expressing his pride in retiring the battalion with honor after several recent and successful deployments.
