191209-N-PG340-2078 OKINAWA, Japan (Dec. 9, 2019) Equipment Operator 2nd Class Miguel Aragon (left) and Equipment Operator 2nd Class Samuel Ryan, both deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, saw off tie-down wires prior to construction of two steel reinforced concrete pads in support of Marine Air Control Squadron 4 on board Marine Corps Air Station Futenma. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
