ATLANTIC OCEAN (Nov. 28, 2019) - Cmdr. Christopher Carroll, commanding officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64), from Albuquerque, New Mexico, address members of the crew following a portion of a general quarters drill commending them for a job well done during the U.K.-led Flag Officer Sea Training (FOST), Nov. 28, 2019. FOST’s training is designed to prepare all types of navy vessels and auxiliaries for peacetime, peace-support, and war-fighting operations. Carney, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its seventh patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of regional allies and partners as well as U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
