    ATLANTIC OCEAN (Nov. 28, 2019) - Fire Controlman (Aegis) 3rd Class Nicholas Anthony, left, from Grayling, Michigan, and Sonar Technician (Surface) 3rd Class Otoniel Ibarra, from Port Arthur, Texas, man a .50-caliber machine gun aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) as part of the small craft arms team during the U.K.-led Flag Officer Sea Training (FOST), Nov. 28, 2019. FOST’s training is designed to prepare all types of navy vessels and auxiliaries for peacetime, peace-support, and war-fighting operations. Carney, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its seventh patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of regional allies and partners as well as U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
