The United States is proud to participate in this Philippine-led, bilateral exercise in order to develop capabilities across a wide range of military operations. Roboch, a native of Jacksonville, Fla., is a tiltrotor airframe mechanic with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 262. Jimenez, a native of Las Cruces, N.M., is a tiltrotor mechanic with VMM-262. KAMANDAG is an acronym for the Filipino phrase “Kaagapay Ng Mga Mandirigma Ng Dagat,” which translates to “Cooperation of the Warriors of the Sea,” highlighting the partnership between the U.S. and Philippine militaries.
