Desir-Brown, a native of Brooklyn, New York, is an aviation technician with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 262. KAMANDAG is an acronym for the Filipino phrase “Kaagapay Ng Mga Mandirigma Ng Dagat,” which translates to “Cooperation of the Warriors of the Sea,” highlighting the partnership between the U.S. and Philippine militaries.
