Jeremy Gomes, a food service specialist attached to C Troop, and native of Mesa, Ariz., scrape the pot clean of made-from-scratch cornbread batter May 5 at Combat Outpost Deysie. The two cooks are preparing the weekly “Surf and Turf” night. C Troop is part of the Alaska-based 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, deployed to support Operation Enduring Freedom.
