The guided-missile destroyer USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98) cuts through the Atlantic Ocean, Sept. 7, 2019. The Forrest Sherman is underway following a sortie due to Hurricane Dorian earlier this week. Commander, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic ordered all U.S. Navy installations in Hampton Roads to return to normal operations on Sept. 6, as Dorian no longer poses a threat to the area.
