Air Force Reserve Lt. Col. Thomas Moffett, 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron pilot, watches the radar while flying into Hurricane Dorian, Sept. 3, 2019 after the storm passed over the Bahamas. The 53rd WRS of the 403rd Wing from Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi fly into tropical systems to gather data that is provided to the National Hurricane Center, which is used to improve the forecast models.
