Air Force Reserve Maj. Jeremy DeHart, 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron aerial weather reconnaissance squadron, checks the data from the dropsondes during a mission flying Hurricane Dorian, Sept. 3, 2019 after the storm passed over the Bahamas. The 53rd WRS of the 403rd Wing from Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi fly into tropical systems to gather data that is provided to the National Hurricane Center, which is used to improve the forecast models.
