Marine Corps Air Station Miramar motorcyclists ride in honor of Master Gunnery Sgt. Brent L. Sherrell, who was a corrections specialist with the Naval Consolidated Brig aboard MCAS Miramar, May 3. Sherrell was killed one year ago in a motorcycle accident. The ride served to immortalize a fellow Marine, promote good riding habits and build camaraderie between Marines from Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., and MCAS Miramar. Upon arrival at the Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, Calif., the motorcyclists gathered to remember Sherrell with memoirs of his life and the singing of “Amazing Grace,” lead by Sgt. Maj. Kenneth Warren with Security Battalion, MCB Camp Pendleton.
