Curious children peek into the recently renovated Patal Bato Literacy and Day Care Center in the Santa Juliana village here, April 25. As part of a community relations project during Exercise Balikatan 2012, participants gathered donations amongst themselves to repair, renew and stock the day care which services more than 60 five and six year-old students. BK12 is an annual Republic of the Philippines-U.S. military exercise focusing on field training, humanitarian assistance and a command post exercise.
