U.S. Army Sgt. Evan Heilman, assigned to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), renders a salute to during an honorable carry for possible remains of U.S. service members lost during WWII at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Aug. 17, 2019. The remains, recently repatriated to the U.S. from the Solomon Islands, will be examined by forensic anthropologist and odontologists at DPAA’s skeletal laboratory where the process of identification will begin.
