Members of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) conduct an honorable carry ceremony for the possible remains of U.S. service members lost during WWII at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Aug. 17, 2019. The remains were recently recovered by a team in the Solomon Islands and will be examined by forensic anthropologists and odontologists at DPAA’s skeletal identification laboratory in hopes of making an identification and fulfilling DPAA's mission to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation.
