U.S. service members with the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) carry transfer cases containing the remains of possible U.S. military personnel lost during WWII at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Aug. 17, 2019. The remains were recovered in the Solomon Islands and are being transferred to DPAA for forensic examination so that they may be identified. The mission of DPAA is to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation. (U.S. Air Force by Staff Sgt. Rusty Frank)
