YOKOSUKA, Japan (August 3, 2019) – Visitors watch a fireworks displays during the 43rd annual Friendship Day celebration hosted by Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY). The summer open base event is one of several throughout the year highlighting the friendship between the local Japanese community and U.S. Navy. CFAY provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and more than 27,000 military and civilian personnel and their families.
