190802-N-JK118-1037 PHILIPPINE SEA (August 2, 2019) An F/A-18 Super Hornet from Strike Fighter Squadrons (VFA) 115 launches from the flight deck aboard the Navy’s forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) during Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5’s change of command ceremony. Capt. Forrest Young was relieved as commanding officer of Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5 by Capt. Michael Rovenolt. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
