The 28th Infantry Division Color Guard posting of the colors during the dedication of Soldiers Field on July 27, 2019. The 18.4 acres was used as the Parade Grounds that was part of the Mount Gretna State Military Reservation used by the National Guard of Pennsylvania from 1855 until 1935 when the last unit left for training at the current Fort Indiantown Gap Military Reservation. This was the only site for today's Pennsylvania National Guard units when sending troops in the Spanish American War and a major mobilization site for those in World War I.
