VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (July 11, 2019) As part of a Defense Support of Civil Authorities loading exercise (DSCA LOADEX), Equipment Operator Constructionman William Ryan, from Waretown, New Jersey, assigned to Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit 202, chains down a medium tactical vehicle replacement. DSCA LOADEX is designed to train and familiarize Sailors and Marines with rapid response capabilities following man-made and natural disaster, such as industrial accidents, hurricanes and earthquakes that affect both local civilian and military populations.
