NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (July 09, 2019) Master-at-Arms 2nd Class Deshawn Burrell, left, assigned to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) security department, explains how to use a baton to Logistic Specialist Seaman Andrew Manuzca, center, and Logistic Specialist Seaman Benjamin Dukes, both assigned to the security department, during the July 2019 security reaction force basic (SRF-B) Class training at Huntington Hall’s gymnasium. George Washington is undergoing refueling complex overhaul (RCOH) at Newport News Shipyard. RCOH is a nearly four-year project performed only once during a carrier’s 50-year service life that includes refueling of the ship’s two nuclear reactors, as well as significant repair, upgrades and modernization.
