190623-N-DX072-1051 PACIFIC OCEAN (June 23, 2019) Marines assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Maritime Raid Force ride in a Rigid-Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB) as part of a visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) rehearsal with the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) and the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48). Green Bay and Ashland, part of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st MEU, are operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
