Ernest Conant, Mid-Pacific regional director for the Bureau of Reclamation, and Cheree Peterson, SES, director of programs for the South Pacific Division, sit ready to speak during a signing event for the Folsom Dam Water Control Manual on June 12, 2019. The newest version of the manual supports more accurate release decisions based on weather forecasts and leverages the new auxiliary spillway. Conant and Peterson signed a commemorative document recognizing this significant effort to strengthen the Folsom Dam facility and reduce the flood risk for the entire Sacramento area!
