Both Seabees are assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 11. The well was tapped by NMCB-11's water well crew in the Panjwai District of Zangabad, Afghanistan. NMCB-11 is homeported in Gulfport, Miss., and deployed to Afghanistan to conduct general, mobility, survivability engineering operations and defensive operations.
