Equipment Operator Jon M. Wawrek and Construction Mechanic 2nd Class Michael A. Castaldi, both assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 11, cap an artesian water well in the Panjwai District of Zangabad, Afghanistan. The well was tapped by NMCB-11's water well crew at a depth of 680-feet. NMCB-11 is homeported in Gulfport, Miss., and deployed to Afghanistan to conduct general, mobility, survivability engineering operations and defensive operations.
