Esta, a 7-year-old military working dog with 49th Security Forces Squadron, lunges at Staff Sgt. Zachary Burtt, March 20. Burtt demonstrates proper handling and decoy procedures during a class that teaches airmen how to properly handle a MWD and act as a decoy during training events. MWDs are used throughout the military to detect explosive devices and illegal narcotics and assist during patrol on military installations worldwide.
