Seven Years After MAFFS 7: Building Dedications

Family members tour a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft after the Building Dedication Ceremony to honor four fallen Airmen, U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Paul K. Mikeal, Maj. Joseph M. McCormick, Maj. Ryan S. David, and Senior Master Sgt. Robert S. Cannon, at the North Carolina Air National Guard Base, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, June 9, 2019. The four Airmen tragically lost their lives seven years ago in the Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System (MAFFS) seven accident while fighting fires in South Dakota. These Airmen were part of the MAFFS seven crew and are remembered with building dedication ceremonies to honor their legacy for years to come.
