Two military jet aircraft are captured mid-flight against a clear blue sky, connected by an aerial refueling hose and drogue basket. The upper aircraft appears to be acting as the tanker, extending a refueling line down to the receiving aircraft below. Both aircraft appear to be F/A-18 Hornet or Super Hornet variants based on their visible silhouettes.

Two EA-18G Growlers, assigned to Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 133, perform an aerial fueling alongside the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) during an air power demonstration in the Atlantic Ocean, May 14, 2019. The John C. Stennis has over 1000 family members and friends embarked on a tiger cruise following a deployment to the U.S. 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 7th Fleet areas of responsibility. The John C. Stennis is operating in the U.S. 2nd Fleet in support of naval operations to maintain maritime stability and security in the Atlantic and Arctic in order to ensure access, deter aggression and defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
