A crowd of spectators watches and photographs a military aircraft formation flyover during what appears to be an airshow or public aviation event. Approximately 12-15 aircraft are flying in a structured diamond or arrow formation against a clear blue sky. Many attendees are using smartphones and cameras to capture the display.

Aircraft, assigned to Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 9, fly in formation over the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) during an air power demonstration in the Atlantic Ocean, May 14, 2019. The John C. Stennis has over 1000 family members and friends embarked on a tiger cruise following a deployment to the U.S. 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 7th Fleet areas of responsibility. The John C. Stennis is operating in the U.S. 2nd Fleet in support of naval operations to maintain maritime stability and security in the Atlantic and Arctic in order to ensure access, deter aggression and defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
