Prominent Hunt 19-1 is part of regularly scheduled biannual interagency training exercises by the U.S. government's National Technical Nuclear Forensics (NTNF) Ground Collection Task Force (GCTF) that have been conducted since 2012. This training exercise provides an opportunity to practice and enhance the NTNF GCTF's operational readiness to respond to a nuclear detonation in the United States or overseas.
