(Mar. 12, 2019) – U.S. Navy Equipment Operator 3rd Class Nathan Robinson, from Fresno, California operates the 924 CAT Loader as Equipment Operator 2nd Class Nathan Everson from Sacramento, California, acts as the ground guide. The Seabees, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 5, remove debris in an expeditionary rapid airfield damage repair (ExRADR) exercise on Vandenberg Air Force Base in support of Exercise Pacific Blitz 2019 (PacBlitz19). ExRADR tests Seabee units’ ability to repair runways enabling continued support to Navy and Marine Corps operations. Navy Expeditionary Forces support the Marine Expeditionary Forces and the Fleet by establishing theater logistics through the development of advanced naval bases.
