Staff Sgt. Stephanie Hawkins, a financial management technician with Company B, 33rd Financial Management Company attached to 204th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, sings “God Bless America” during a prayer luncheon held at Forward Operating Base Walton, Feb. 6. The crowd viewed her in awe as her beautiful voice filled the dining facility. The song was sung as a tribute to the guest speaker Col. (retired) Danny McKnight, who was the battalion commander of Task Force Ranger when they were deployed to Somalia in 1993 and whose unit is the basis for the movie “Black Hawk Down.”
