Sgt. Larry Nava, a sniper from California National Guard’s 1st Squadron, 18th Cavalry Regiment, assists a sniper with the Jordan Armed Forces’ Eastern Command by partnering as a spotter on the zeroing range on Feb. 26, 2019, at a range outside of Amman, Jordan. During the training, soldiers are tasked with stalking an objective to within 500 meters, neutralizing the target, and exfiltrating, all while remaining undetected. Training side-by-side, the U.S. Army and JAF continue to build a shared understanding of each other’s tactics, techniques and procedures through the ongoing, strong partnership created by the Jordan Operational Engagement Program.
