Sgt. Albert Martinez, sniper for California National Guard’s 1st Squadron, 18th Cavalry Regiment talks with his counterpart from the Jordan Armed Forces’ 10th Border Guard Force after qualifying in a joint concealment and stalking exercise on Feb. 25, 2019, at a range outside of Amman, Jordan. During the training, soldiers are tasked with stalking an objective to within 500 meters, neutralizing the target, and exfiltrating, all while remaining undetected. Training side-by-side, the U.S. Army and JAF continue to build a shared understanding of each other’s tactics, techniques and procedures through the ongoing, strong partnership created by the Jordan Operational Engagement Program.
