    PEARL HARBOR, HI - A U.S. Marine and Sailor embarked on the Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47) man the rails, February 16, 2019. Throughout the Western Pacific 18-2 deployment, the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Navy's Essex Amphibious Ready Group conducted training and operations across four combatant commands, strengthening key partnerships and providing the combatant commanders a flexible and lethal crisis response force.
