PEARL HARBOR, HI - U.S. Marine Cpl. Nathan Vasek, a landing support specialist with Combat Logistics Battalion 13, 13th Marine Expeditionary, mans the rails aboard the Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47), February 16, 2019. Throughout the Western Pacific 18-2 deployment, the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Navy's Essex Amphibious Ready Group conducted training and operations across four combatant commands, strengthening key partnerships and providing the combatant commanders a flexible and lethal crisis response force.
