“I got my puppy in March 2015 at a humane society. They let her out of the kennel and she just runs up to me – she’s just three months – runs up, jumps in my face, just the happiest dog ever. And she has these two different colored eyes. At that moment, I didn’t look at any other dogs or visit any other dogs. I was just like, ‘Can I adopt her right now?’
“That day she sat in the passenger seat, and I had my hand there – she still does this a lot – she threw her hand over mine. She’s my favorite thing – ever.”
- SSgt Darryl Carter, 375th Force Support Squadron honor guard scheduling NCO
