U.S. CENTRAL COMMAND AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (Feb. 1, 2019) U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Adam Lopez, an aircraft ordnance technician with Marine Attack Squadron 223, attached to Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response-Central Command, conducts a pre-load inspection check on the guided bomb unit laser joint direct attack munitions prior to attaching the weapons system to an AV-8B Harrier aircraft. As a quick reaction force, the SPMAGTF-CR-CC is capable of deploying aviation, ground and logistical forces forward at a moment's notice, and supports Operation Inherent Resolve, working by, with, and through the partner forces to defeat ISIS.
