An Iraqi airfield manager radios in accurate weather data to an approaching aircraft at Camp Taji, Iraq, Nov. 30, 2018. With the new automated weather observation system, Taji airfield managers can now inform all the aircraft and aircrew using Taji’s airfield of the latest meteorological data. The Iraqi air enterprise will ultimately provide Iraq with the self-sufficient air capabilities required by a sovereign nation to protect its borders and defeat internal threats.
