Fallon Emery, center, a new honorary member of the 437th Operations Support Squadron, walks out of the Aircrew Flight Equipment building with her mother Melanie and her little sister Mae, Nov. 7, 2018, at Joint Base Charleston, S.C., as part of the Airman for a Day program. During her visit, 14-year-old Emery also toured a C-17 flight simulator, learned about night vision and other military technology, controlled an explosive ordnance disposal robot and met with 437th Airlift Wing senior leaders. The Airman for a Day program recognizes the resilience of children battling various illnesses by enabling them to observe Air Force units and experience their culture for a day.
