181204-N-IB739-1013 ATSUGI, Japan (Dec. 4, 2018) Steelworker 1st Class Michael Featherston and Steelworker 2nd Class Aubrey Spiller, both assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, Det. Yokosuka/Atsugi, go over project materials for the construction of a pre-engineered building (PEB) with Cmdr. Joseph Harder, commanding officer of NMCB-3. The PEB is being built as a shade shelter for welders to be able to accomplish their work more efficiently for other projects. NMCB-3 is forward deployed throughout the Indo-Pacific region and United States ready to support major combat operations, theater security, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. Seabees provide general engineering and civil support to Navy, Marine Corps and joint operational forces globally.
