Boatswain's Mate 1st Class Shawn Graham, a U.S. Navy Riverine from Riverine Squadron Detachment 1, grabs a towing rope that is being used to tow a second Riverine Patrol boat that has taken simulated damages in Santo Tomas Dec. 6. The simulation was help with members of the Guatemalan Naval special forces.
The Riverines and SPMAGTF Marines are participating in the SMEE exchanges as a part of Amphibious-Southern Partnership Station 2012, an annual deployment of U.S. military teams to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility.
