A member of the Guatemalan Naval Special forces covers U.S. Marines attached to a Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force as they exit the marshes of Santo Tomas, Dec. 6.
The exchange of tactics was held as a joint cooperation effort between the U.S. Riverines, U.S. Marines and members of the Guatemalan Special Forces. The Riverines and SPMAGTF Marines are participating in the subject matter expert exchanges as a part of Amphibious-Southern Partnership Station 2012, an annual deployment of U.S. military teams to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility.
